ISLA SAONA
We rented a car, drove through Higuey and on towards La Romana.
A little over 2 hrs drive time. Easy to find with the exception of driving through Higuey (confusing).
Some shopping in Higuey and the biggest cathedral in the country.
Beautiful island and a nice trip.
Boat ride is about 25 minutes. Great swimming in shallow ocean waters.
Dominicans say this has been a setting for various Viet Nam era movies.
One of the hilights of our trip!
